About PPDC & JCT

Joining our company (PPDC)/ or team (JCT) is by invitation only, and based upon staff recommendations. Starting at Grade 1 level and above, students may be invited to join the JCT. Our PPDC invitations are offered to our qualified Vocational level dancers. Consideration is given to a student’s Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Exam scores, performances, attitude, teamwork spirit, passion and desire to excel in dance.

Students in JCT & PPDC will perform dances in Classical and/or Contemporary groups choreographed by our faculty and guest artists at competitions and our Annual Showcases.  Students who are invited to join will be given a contract specifying a set of rules and are expected to follow those rules if they accept the invitation. All invited soloists must also participate in an ensemble.

We choose our competitions carefully to provide quality and challenging experiences. Some of the competitions attended in the past for our Pre-Professional Dance Company include Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and California Dance Classics (CDC). Our most experienced and qualified soloists have competed in the highly selective Fonteyn Dance Competition. Our Junior Competition teams attend Spotlight and ICON.

Our students have earned invitations to national finals competition and workshops with top choreographers and teachers. We are so proud of our students for their dedication and long hours of rehearsals.
