Who We Are

A Royal Academy of Dance School

OUR MISSION

Training and Inspiring Dancers and Teachers of Tomorrow

We seek to inspire our students and transform their lives with this art form. From our youngest preschool dancer to our advanced ballet students, every student is an important member of our dancing family.

In addition to classical ballet, Rachel’s Ballet offers supplemental classes in contemporary dance, lyrical, and jazz. Qualified and dedicated dancers also have the opportunity to be invited to join our award winning Pre-Professional Dance Company or Junior Competition Team and participate in regional and national competitions.

The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) was founded in 1920 with a single purpose: to raise the standards of dance teaching in the UK. 100 years later, excellence in dance teaching is still at the heart of everything they do. Today, the RAD is a world-leading dance, education and training organization, with dance teachers and students in 85 countries, enriching the world’s arts and cultural communities. From three to 93-year-olds, the RAD believes in the transformative power of dance to enhance our health and happiness.

Yearly examinations offer children an annual goal to acheive their own personal best. They also provides a yardstick by which progress can be measured with a worldwide standard. Only teachers who have been through Royal Academy training are certified and may enter students for RAD examinations. RAD qualified instructors are required to annually attend workshops to constantly inspire and inform their teaching.

The RAD program provides a standard of learning regardless of where instruction occurs; students who move from one country (or state) to another can enroll in a new RAD school and continue with the same syllabus.

WHAT people SAY

student & Parent Testimonials

“My daughter is in Pre-Primary at your ballet school. I am writing to you to convey my many thanks for putting together a great show for the kids and the community. I was moved by your story and the thought behind this endeavor. I thought you should know that your dedication is being accepted and admired by many. The confidence that I saw in the dancers is something all young girls should have.”

Shruti

“So beautiful and thank you so much! Congratulations on a beautifully executed Nutcracker performance!  All of the girls danced well and looked so very well prepared.  It was a pleasure once again to watch the performance. Thank you to you and the teachers for the effort and preparation.”

kristine R.

“Appreciate your kindness and generous devotion for the Nutcracker show! It was the first ballet performance show for our whole family! My daughter (5yr now) has learned ballet for half year back in Taiwan, and we just moved here for one year. She loves it, after seeing the show, she keeps asking how could I do a performance like those beautiful dancers? Appreciate for the impressive and awesome Nutcracker again!!!”
